The 2018 Hyundai Tucson

Explore New Hyundai Tucson Options in Nanuet

When drivers in New York are searching for a new Hyundai, they come to Rockland Hyundai. We have a huge selection of models available, from compact cars, to fuel-sipping hybrids, to three-row SUVs.

When it comes to shopping for a stylish and versatile SUV crossover, there are a few great choices in the Hyundai lineup. One of our Rockland Hyundai favorites, though, is the compact Hyundai Tucson. It has two rows and seats five people, and it can be customized with five trim options, two engines, and two drive trains.

Hyundai Tucson Trims and Performance

When it comes to choosing which Tucson model works best for you, the first decision you face is trim level. Options include:

  • Hyundai Tucson SE
  • Hyundai Tucson SEL
  • Hyundai Tucson SEL Plus
  • Hyundai Tucson Value
  • Hyundai Tucson Limited

When trying to decide between them, it's helpful to know that the SE, SEL, and SEL Plus models are all equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It's rated for 164 horsepower and has 151 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the other two trims, the Value and the Limited, are powered by a 175-horsepower, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 195 pound-feet of torque.

While all of the Hyundai Tucson models are equipped with standard front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive is available as an option.

Standard Safety and Creature Comfort Features for the Hyundai Tucson

Of course, the Hyundai Tucson is more than just a good-looking SUV crossover. It also gives drivers a range of standard technology and safety features, with every model adding more and more features. Some are meant to keep you safe, while some add a great amount of convenience to your driving experience. But, all of them are innovative and state-of-the-art, in a way only Hyundai can do.

The list of available and standard entertainment and safety features includes:

  • Automatic headlights, standard on all trims
  • Touchscreen interface, standard on all trims
  • Bluetooth, standard for all
  • Rearview camera, standard
  • Daytime LED running lights, standard on the SEL and up
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, SEL level and up
  • Heated front seats, SEL and up
  • Blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert system, standard on the SEL Plus and up
  • Hyundai's Blue Link connected service, SEL Plus and up
  • Navigation system, SEL Plus and Limited only
  • Hands-free power liftgate, on the Value level and up
  • Panoramic sunroof, only standard for the Value model
  • LED headlights and taillights, standard on the top trim Limited

Plus, there's an optional package that can be added onto the top trim, the Hyundai Tucson Limited. This package includes heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and a number of advanced safety features, such as a lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and adapting xenon headlights.

Inside the New Hyundai Tucson

Although the Hyundai Tucson is called a compact crossover, it offers more passenger space than many of its closest competitors. It's a roomy and comfortable vehicle with plenty of space for everyone, even your tall friends. In fact, despite the fact that they're similar in size, the Tucson gives your rear seat passenger more headroom and legroom than the Toyota RAV4.

When it comes to storing your gear in the Hyundai Tucson, there are plenty of convenient storage solutions throughout the vehicle, for all of the smaller objects you need to take with you. Plus, the rear cargo hold can accommodate 31 cubic feet with the seats up, and that grows to a nice 61.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.
